Wise Book Mentor

Hi there! I’m Sharon Lindenburger.
I’m a published author, seasoned journalist, book coach, book content developer, and editor with more than 25 years experience in writing, editing, publishing, and media—all the ways of creating compelling and wise content that people are drawn to. Content they want to read. Information they feel they must have.
I help you tell your story. When you want to reach your audience and persuade them to take action, you need great book content. You need a wise book. All great content tells a story. And I know you will benefit from the customized support, and guidance I offer for the exciting journey of creating your wise book and getting it into readers’ hands.
Let me share just a few of the notable projects I’ve enjoyed working on.

My first co-authored book, which grew from my content coaching and collaborative writing, was RX For Hospitals with Philip Hassen who was CEO at the world-renowned St. Joseph’s Health Center in London, Canada. I provided coaching and co-authoring to a subsequent book, Re-Inventing Hospitals, on the subject of health care reform. My third book, The Canadian Consumer’s Guide to Health Care, was released nationally by McGraw-Hill Ryerson Inc. and received considerable media attention. In 2001, I began an ongoing collaboration with David Patchell-Evans, president of Good Life Fitness Clubs (the world’s largest chain of fitness clubs owned by a single individual) on a book on the role of fitness, health, and quality of life. Entitled Living the Good Life: Your Guide to Health and Success, this book is in its fourth printing and has over one million copies currently in circulation, as well as being released in audio book format. I am pleased to be assisting David Patchell-Evans with his upcoming new book, The Real Sexy, Smart and Strong (published by John Wiley & Sons) which is now an international bestseller.
With former Special Forces officer Jim Pritchard, I coached and co-authored The Warrior Mind, released by Amacom Publishers in January 2006. I recently collaborated with motivational speaker and corporate trainer Robert Parker (who works with Duke Corporate Education) on a book called The Pit Crew Challenge released January 2008.
Other book coaching projects currently include a book on the collaborative mentoring process entitled The Elevator Effect (scheduled release fall 2009) with mentoring/masterminding coaches Marcus Paton and Sona E. Van Der Hoop; a book entitled Life is Change – Growth Is Optional with award-winning business teacher and inspirational speaker Antonia Van Haeren; a book coaching project with business entrepreneur and novelist James Harris for his exciting sci-fi book The Third Craft (published in early 2008); providing content coaching to arts maven Jonathon Bancroft-Snell for his books on the legendary ceramic artists Walter Dexter and Ruth Gowdy McKinley; coaching the content of a dynamic and inspirational audio book by Christina Doyle (a 14-year survivor of one of the rarest forms of cancer), serving as content developer for Ken D. Foster’s newly revised bestselling book Ask and You Will Succeed (revised released by Wiley, May 2009), developing Ken Foster’s new book project, The Inspired Entrepreneur; and developing a book on the inner world of physicians, called Da Vinci’s Room with Dr. Jennifer Smith, MD. Also in the works are books with clients on the topic of recovery from addiction, the challenges of family-owned businesses, energy healing, and re-imagining a healthy relationship with the food that nourishes us.
Throughout my career, I have successfully guided authors, coaches, entrepreneurs, journalists, and thought leaders on the process of developing and organizing strong and wise books that send their message out into the world.
In addition, I am the author of hundreds of newspaper articles and feature magazine articles, covering a vast array of topics—including health care, environment, science, nature, the arts, popular culture, psychology, spirituality, and business.
I’ve also been involved with the world of TV production As a scriptwriter, producer and content coach for TV documentaries and educational video, some of my projects include writing and co-producing a six-part documentary series, Dads Under Construction (about the process of men becoming first-time fathers); the full-length documentary, Circle of All Nations (about world-renowned native elder William Commanda, dubbed the “Dalai Lama of First Nations”); the feature documentary Autism – There’s Hope Out There (featuring ground-breaking medical research aimed at uncovering the cause of autism); the feature documentary Tomorrow Today, starring Sir Peter Ustinov, the Dalai Lama, Jane Goodall, Ervin Laszlo, and Arthur C. Clarke, with music by Peter Gabriel; a television series based on David Patchell-Evans’ book Living the Good Life; the documentary Sea Without Tides (the story of the legendary fishermen of Lake Erie and the mystique of the Lake).
